Instagram Video Downloader
Paste the link to an Instagram post or reel and save its video as an MP4 file, with sound, on any phone or computer.
How It Works
Copy the Link
In the Instagram app, tap ⋯ or the share icon on the post, then Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from the browser.
Paste It Here
The post opens with every video and photo in it, so you can check it is the right one.
Download
Save each video as an MP4 file, or every item of a carousel at once as a ZIP.
The Same File Instagram Plays
You get the MP4 file Instagram serves to its own players, with the sound, and nothing is re-encoded or added. Quality is whatever Instagram offers for that video: reels usually come in 720p. A carousel can hold several videos and photos; each has its own Download button, and the ZIP button saves the whole post in one go.
On iPhone and Android
It works in Safari, Chrome or any other browser, with no app to install. On an iPhone, Safari puts downloads in the Files app, under Downloads; open the video there and tap Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos. On Android, downloads land in the Downloads folder and show up in your gallery.
Use What You Save Fairly
Videos belong to the people who made them. Save them to watch offline, keep a reference or back up your own posts. Before reposting someone else's video, ask them, and credit them when you do.
Questions
Is the Instagram video downloader free?
Yes. No sign-up, no limits on video length, and nothing to install.
Can I download videos from private accounts?
No. Only posts from public accounts can be opened here. Private accounts' posts are visible only to their approved followers.
Does the video have a watermark?
No. Instagram doesn't put a watermark on its video files, and we don't add one.
What quality are the videos?
The best MP4 Instagram serves for that video, usually 720p for reels. We never lower the quality.
Will the owner know I downloaded their video?
No. The download doesn't go through an Instagram account, and Instagram doesn't notify people about downloads.
Do you keep copies of the videos?
No. The file streams from Instagram's servers through ours straight to your device, and isn't stored.
